"If a flight is delayed, passengers are entitled to compensation. But getting the money is usually a tedious process, which is also tedious and expensive for an airline. Ulrich Steppler and Katja Brecke have seen this day by day as lawyers at a law firm representing more than 50 air carriers. That's how the idea for justclaims came about. In 2017, the lawyers founded the CHS Claims Handling Solutions GmbH to build a platform for a simplified claims management for airlines. With the help of two digital agencies, they developed a software that is integrated into the website of the airlines. It contains a complaint form for the customers and in a few minutes, it will be processed automatically, and the corresponding processes would be initiated. Soon, this should even only take seconds, says Steppler and promises a cost reduction by half. First customer of the start-up is Tuifly."
